On March 25th (Saturday) and 26th (Sunday) of 2023, the world’s largest anime event AnimeJapan 2023 was successfully held at Tokyo Big Sight. The venue welcomed 100,051 visitors, who enjoyed the exhibition booths, stage events, merchandise purchases, and cosplay, bringing back the lively atmosphere befitting a complete revival.

AnimeJapan 2023 ended in a highly successful and bustling event. At the same time, it was already announced that AnimeJapan 2024 will be held in March 2024.

This article will be updated once additional information about AnimeJapan 2024 is announced.

AnimeJapan 2023 was held at Tokyo Big Sight on the 25th and 26th March 2023, which commemorated its 10th anniversary of the largest anime event in Japan.

AnimeJapan, the biggest anime event in Japan, came back to Tokyo Big Sight in March, 2022, following AnimeJapan 2020, which had to be canceled due to the spread of COVID-19 and AnimeJapan 2021, which had to be streamed online.

You can enjoy watching over 40 exciting AJ Stage programs including the hottest anime series stages related to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Attack on Titan and so on.

Based on the AnimeJapan’s important concept “”All of the anime is here”, the 10th AnimeJapan shows its theme of “Cue!”.

AnimeJapan 2023 became a special and unforgettable event as a milestone to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It brings every fan everything anime has to offer.

Japan and Japanese culture including Anime, Manga and Cosplay are being much more promoted and developed than ever before under the support of rapidly-increasing fans across the world.

As expected, AnimeJapan 2023 offered new and unique experiences, which consists of over 40 exciting stage programs, the exclusive information and items at exhibitor booths and other varied contents.

In addition to the public, AnimeJapan 2023 also focuses on the business side. If you want to talk to some anime-related companies and groups, additional two days for only business are provided online (27th and 28th March).

Tickets for AnimeJapan 2023 are available from January 30 to March 24 on the official website, and you can also get the same-day tickets on the site.

Booth Exhibitions

You can see hundreds of Japanese anime from classic to the latest ones at Exhibitor’s Booth Areas. For example: Dragon Ball, Bleach, Sword Art Online, Monogatari Series, Detective Conan, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, One Punch Man, Captain Tsubasa, Fate/stay night, Cells at Work!

AJ Stage

There are two enormous stages in AnimeJapan: a 1000-person-capacity stage and a 700-person-capacity one where you can enjoy live show performances and talk shows related to the latest and upcoming anime. In addition, AnimeJapan offers two more stages which are available for any visitor.

Cosplayer’s World

Family AnimeFesta

No worry even if you come to the event with kids. Family Anime Festa offers the chance to play with adorable anime characters that kids love and enjoy some workshops and the food park.
