• The Max skill on professions in Legion is 800.
• You will not get your all your recipes from trainer directly. Instead you will do a quest chain containing many quests that rewards recipes. Basically your trainer has ideas of how to make stuff and you try them out and if it works, you get a recipe.
• Profession quests takes you all over Broken Isles and also requires to do some dungeons as well.
• You need a certain level to get more quests from trainer, however, while doing the main legion questline you will bump in to profession specific quests.
• There are some lvl requirements needed to obtain a new profession quest.
  lvl 100 - You start the first legion profession quests.
  lvl 102 - Follow up on profession questline unlocks
  lvl 104 - Follow up on profession questline unlocks
  lvl 106 - Follow up on profession questline unlocks
  lvl 108 - Follow up on profession questline unlocks
  lvl 110 - Follow up on profession questline unlocks
• You need to be max level to finish the profession quest line.

• You can upgrade crafted gear from 815 to a maximum of 850. Check out my guide regarding this, here.

New ore in Legion: Leystone Ore

The gear you can craft as a blacksmith is divided in two subgroups

• Leystone (715-785 ilvl)
• Demonsteel (815 ilvl)

As a blacksmith in legion, you can also craft 2 items for your mount

• Leystone Hoofplates (increasing speed while mounted in the Broken Isles by 20% for 2 hours)
• Demonsteel Stirrups (allows you to interact while mounted in the Broken Isles for 2 hours) - I found this Recipe in Azuna. It droppen from Equine Sunrunners. I got two in a row (maybe luck maybe not). Eqiene Sunrunners can be found at 45:31.

The starting quest for getting Legion Blacksmith is located in Dalaran (Broken Isles). You need to collect 10 Leystone Ores in order to complete the first quest and gain access to Legion Blacksmithing.

In order to craft Leystone gear you need an Anvil.
In order to craft Demonsteel gear you need Firmament Stone (location will be updated asap)

You will learn to craft Leystone gear by following the Blacksmith quest line.

Demonsteel Gear

To be able to craft Demonsteel armor you need to make Demonsteel Bars.
To be able to make Demonsteel Bars you need to complete the quest “The Art of Demonsteel” located in Highmountain (location will be updated soon).

The Demonsteel armor recipes are obtained from vendors or quests.

• You can craft 2 Relics that is specific to upgrade a certain trait of your class.
  - Paladins can craft Holy/Iron Relics for the Unflinching Defense trait only
  - Warriors can craft Fire/Iron Relics for the Wrath of Fury trait only
  - Death Knight will be updated soon

• You can craft 2 Relics that can upgrade any minor trait for any class.
  Paladins can craft fire and blood Relics
  Warriors can craft Holy and Iron Relics
  Death Knight will be updated soon

What are the rank stars in Blacksmithing?

The recipes you have obtained will have a star on it (rank 1). You can have totally 3 stars (rank 3).
You get higher rank by finding the rank 2 (2 stars) and rank 3 (3 stars) recipes in the world.

The rank gives a benefit for that certain crafting. I´ve not comfirmed what it is yet. But for enchanting it required less materials to enchant and for alchemy you dont need to make healing pots in Dalaran alchemy station.

How to obtain rank 3 onDemonsteel Recipes

Some rank 3 recipescan be achieved from reputation vendors in The Broken Isles. The Emissaries (reputation vendors) sells them. Se below for more specific details.
